Lindean Kirk, Cauldshiels Loch and Fort, Abbotsford
This walk will fascinate you with ancient tales of the Galashiels area. Leaving Gala we will make our way to 12th Century Lindean Kirk. We then make our way along the Borders Abbey Way to Cauldshiels Hill Fort, one of the most impressive military structures of Dark Ages Scotland. After our visit to Cauldshiels we will make our way through the grounds of Abbotsford House – home to Sir Walter Scott – and then back to Galashiels

Two Towers Walk (Buckholm and Torwoodlee)
Walk to Torwoodlee Tower . Cross the Gala Water to Buckholm Tower. A wonderful opportunity to walk through Torwoodlee and Buckholm Estates one of the oldest landholdings in the Galashiels area.

William Law Circular
Starting with a steady climb out of town, this circular walk crosses farmland towards the grave site of the legendary local worthy, Dobie. We then continue over moorland to the reach the summit Trig Point and Huge Bells Cairn. Enjoy the views over the Gala Water Valley on the return route by Ladhope.

Melrose to Bowden Circular
From the Abbey Car park we will climb to the saddle of the Eildon Hills thendescend to the village of Bowden. From Bowden we will proceed to Rhymers Stone then return to Melrose via the Tweed. Mostly good paths and tracks across open country. Excellent views of hills and surrounding countryside
